What do you like best about the Willow Project? The best part about being a part of the Willow Project is that it gives us the opportunity to interact with and help a unique population of people. We are able to make a difference in the lives of some less fortunate individuals. What is your most memorable Willow Project experience? My most memorable experience was working the coat project. I have never seen so many smiling faces in one afternoon. I felt like my efforts of gathering and distributing coats sincerely served a good purpose. What does being a part of the Willow Project mean to you? It means being part of an organization that has access to a unique population and an excellent opportunity to make a difference in their lives. It also means being part of a great group of individuals who all share the common desire to help the homeless. Give an interesting story or fact about yourself? I’m going into the Peace Corps in September 2006 and will hopefully continue to make a difference in lives of the less fortunate. I was in the February 2001 issue of SLAM Magazine for my achievements in high school basketball. What fruit are you and why? I am a grape. I enjoy my time alone as a single grape: studying, working out, watching movies. Yet I enjoy being in groups and interacting with others as a bushel of grapes. And of course, when I get old, I assume that my body will turn dry and wrinkly just as grapes turn into raisins. What do you really think about Ryan & Jarae? I think that they are great leaders. They contribute a lot of time and effort into ensuring that the clinic runs smoothly and effectively. Their time and effort does not go unnoticed. I think that they are a great pair and perfect for the job. |
